Description
Fast acting non-drowsy cough suppressant for the temporary relief of dry, hacking, non-productive coughs due to colds.
|
Directions
To be taken every 4-6 hours.
Adults: 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 mL).
Children 6-12: 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (2.5 to 5 mL).
Children 2-6: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (1.25 to 2.5 mL).
Children under 2: consult a physician.
Maximum 4 doses/day. If preferred, mix with equal parts honey.

Cautions
Do not exceed the recommended dosage. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough worsens, lasts more than 7 days, or is accompanied by high fever, consult a physician. If you have chronic lung disease, shortness of breath, persistent or chronic cough, asthma, or if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult a physician before using this product. Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug.

Ingredients
Active Ingredients:
Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains: 12.5 mg Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients:
Ammonium Carbonate, Camphor, Canada Balsam, Carrageenan, Glycerin, Menthol, Pine Needle Oil, Sodium Butylparaben, Sodium Cyclamate, Sodium Propylparaben, Tincture of Capsicum and Water.
