Description
Chemical Name: METOPROLOL (me-TOE-proe-lole) Dispensed from a jurisdiction where this item is approved for sale. Toprol XL is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. It also is used to prevent angina (chest pain) and to treat heart attacks. Toprol XL is also used in combination with other medications to treat heart failure.
This medication comes in a TABLET form and therefore CAN be split.

Cautions
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes dizziness or lightheadedness, tiredness, depression, upset stomach, dry mouth, stomach pain, gas or bloating, heartburn, constipation, rash or itching and cold hands/feet.
