Description The Emla Patch contains a local anesthetic used to numb the skin to pain from injections and other medical procedures.
Directions Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. TO APPLY THIS MEDICINE, wash and completely dry the chosen area. Apply the disc at the site of the procedure. Press firmly around the edges of the disc to be sure it sticks. DO NOT PRESS ON THE CENTER of the disc. This medicine must be applied at least 1 hour before the procedure. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light.
Cautions SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include skin paleness, loss of feeling, itching, redness, or swelling at the treated site.
Ingredients LIDOCAINE (LYE-doe-kane) and PRILOCAINE (PRIL-oh-kane)
