Description
This medication is used to treat vaginal yeast infections. Terconazole reduces vaginal burning, itching, and discharge that may occur with this condition. This medication is an azole antifungal. It works by stopping the growth of yeast (fungus) that causes the infection.

Directions
TERAZOL 7 (terconazole) Vaginal Cream 0.4% One full applicator (5 g) of TERAZOL 7 Vaginal Cream (20 mg terconazole) should be administered intravaginally once daily at bedtime for seven consecutive days. One full applicator (5 g) of TERAZOL 3 Vaginal Cream (40 mg terconazole) should be administered intravaginally once daily at bedtime for three consecutive days. TERAZOL 3 (terconazole) Vaginal Suppositories 80 mg
One TERAZOL 3 Vaginal Suppository (80 mg terconazole) should be administered intra-vaginally once daily at bedtime for three consecutive days.

Cautions
Before using terconazole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other azole antifungal agents (e.g., clotrimazole, fluconazole); or to vegetable oil; or if you have any other allergies.

Side Effects
Headache, body pain, vaginal/urethral burning/itching/pain, or menstrual cramps may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: fever, chills, flu-like symptoms, stomach/abdominal pain.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
